Lose Weight
and Build Muscle with Circuit Training
How would you like to increase your strength and
fitness while boosting your metabolism and burning tons
of calories? This may sound too good to be true, but it's
not. There is actually a workout you can perform that can
give you these benefits and more. This incredible workout
is called circuit training.
With circuit training, you actually perform a
circuit of exercises one right after the
other. In
traditional workouts, you usually perform a few sets of
the exercise before you move on to another. When you perform a
circuit, you perform one set of a particular exercise and
then move on to the next. This continues until
you have performed all of the exercises in the
circuit.

There are several benefits to this type of
workout. First of all, your body responds well to change.
Since you are constantly changing exercises, you'll
notice faster results with circuit training. Another
benefit to this workout is that it actually keeps your
heart rate up throughout the entire workout since there
is less rest in between exercises. This means that you'll
burn more calories. Also, since you're performing the
exercises one right after the other, your workout will
actually take less time. So you'll get faster results in
a shorter amount of time.
There are
several different ways you can perform this workout. You can
choose to work a certain area of the body like upper body or
lower body, or you can get a full body workout in. All you need
to do is choose the exercises that you want to perform. Make
sure that each exercise covers a different muscle. For
instance, if you're doing an upper body workout, you may want
to pick one exercise for your chest, one for your biceps, one
for your back, etc. Whatever combination you choose, you need
to be able to switch between the exercises fairly quickly,
since this is a major part of circuit
training.
If you want a more intense workout, or you want
to combine your cardio and strength training workouts
together, you can do this easily with circuit
training.
All you would need to do is choose the strength training
exercises you want to do, just as you would on a normal
circuit training workout. However, instead of
moving directly to the next strength training exercise
immediately after you finish the set, you would perform a
high intensity cardio exercise like jumping rope for a
minute or two. You would do this in
between every set. This is a great way to
see even faster results.
Circuit training is
extremely challenging and intense. You may not want to do this
every time you work out. You could see great results even if
you only substitute one workout a week with this type of
exercise. Circuit training is a great way to break up your
boring routine and see amazing results. You'll be able to lose
weight and build muscle, all in a short, fun
workout.
